I just can't seem to get over this issue of "justice."
It's easy for us to cry for justice when we feel victimized. Lots of people want to see justice served when they feel they've been wronged. But what about when we wrong others? Suddenly my thirst for justice dries up when I'm expected to acknowledge my own role in injustice.
For example, let's start with the United States of America declaring war on Iraq for noncompliance with nuclear non-proliferation agreements? Remember "shock & awe?" Remember GWB landing in a jet in front of a gigantic banner reading: "Mission Accomplished." Alas, there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. I'm pretty sure the people of Iraq were compensated with a sheepish "my bad." Was justice served?
What is your working definition of justice? Can mankind implement true justice?
